Nye Beach Montessori News for the Week Jan, 30 2012
Here are a few notes for the upcoming week:
1. We need help with the Children's Festival!!! Please be sure to go downstairs and sign-up for any of the areas that you can. (Thank you sooo much!)
This is a wonderful event, sponsored by us! It is a day filled with dozens of family oriented activities!
(Horse rides with Jasmine & friends, Arts & Crafts, Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Cookie Decorating, Fishing for treasures, Sparkly Tattoos, Fairy Making, Science, Skate boarding with Jay...small course for young kids :-), Fire trucks to explore, and much more!)
Proceeds from this event will go to help many of our families in need. This is a great opportunity to give back if you are receiving financial assistance this year!
A portion will also go to the Children's Advocacy Center as well :-)
Help is especially needed in several of our little table areas, donating/finding Silent Auction Items, Cleaning up afterwards (****), baking millions of treats for the bake sale, etc.
So please....head downstairs this week and sign-up!
This festival is sooo much fun...so if nothing else, be sure to come!

2. It is letter P this week! CHildren are invited to bring things that have the sound P in them all week. Please be sure to have the little treasures come in a small bag!
3. I wanted to make sure you have my personal cell phone number for emergencies: 541-270-2850.
You are welcome to use this number to text me little notes, or leave messages. I generally don't pick up the phone evenings or week-ends, but you are always welcome to leave a voice mail, and I'll get back to you during school hours. Feel free to use it to call me too during the hours 8-5:30.
The school number is 541-265-3027, and I check it for messages every hour or so during school hours.
4. Be sure to contact me the week before your snack week...and I'll give you your snack list of what to bring!
5. If you haven't had the chance to sign-up for snacks yet, just come see me :-) We need someone for the week of Feb. 13 by the way.
6. If it is raining, please have your children come to school in a waterproof coat, and waterproof shoes :-)
7. Our children, all of them, all three classes, upstairs downstairs are all going to sing at the Children's Festival on Saturday!!! 11:00 on stage! It is a Lemon Droplet SHow....so bring lots of yellow.....or just come as you are :-)
8. If you have any fun, lovely, exciting thing at home, gently used, hardly used, new/ etc. that you don't want anymore and would like to donate to our Silent Auction....that would be fabulous!
Just bring to the school this week! Or contact Olivia :-)
9. If you sign-up to bring millions and millions of baked good treats, please sign up downstairs The treats should come Saturday morning to the festival, no later than 9:45 on a tray well marked with your name, covered with saran wrap. Be sure to get your tray when you go!
